“The thing about KGHypnobirthing is that it works.” - Father
The Rose Birth Company’s philosophy is to offer complete support to every mother, to feel informed and empowered to have their baby the way they choose. That could be at home or in hospital, on your own or with family, with interventions or without. We are not here to judge your birth intentions, but to support you to make your decisions as informed as possible.
The KGHypnobirthing programme taught at The Rose Birth Company is an in depth antenatal education programme, taught over a 12 hour course. The course is entirely practical and logical and enables you to work with your birth partner to enjoy a calm and positive birth experience.
During the course, you will both learn to release and reframe any fearful feelings or negativity you feel around birth. You will learn why and how your body is working in this incredible way and how to work with your body, rather than against it. You will learn about your options, how to navigate them and the implications of your potential choices, in terms of your health, and your baby’s. We will use traditional hypnotherapy techniques to build calmness and confidence around birth and develop ‘anchors’ so that you can easily access a state of deep relaxation during labour.
Your birth partner will learn all about the vital role they will play in your birth, how to support you and specific comfort measures, including how to help you enter deep states of relaxation.
Hypnobirthing is a truly incredible way to help women feel confident in their ability to give birth, calm and prepared. It is evidence based and rooted in the fact that women are perfectly designed to give birth.
You can read more about Katherine Graves and the influential women, such as Deliciously Ella, who have benefitted from her course so far, here.
Benefits of KGHypnobirthing include:
Your baby will arrive to a serene and relaxed environment, alert and ready to bond with you as nature intended.
You are likely to experience a more comfortable and sometimes pain free birth. Length of labour is often much shorter.
Less drugs and medical intervention are used in Hypnobirthing births allowing your baby to develop naturally and easily after they arrive.
Mums often bounce back quicker after birth as the physical impact of giving birth is reduced.
Your birth partner will learn how to support you and have a central and active role in the birth. A truly shared and loving experience.
Length of labour is often much shorter.
“I have been at KGHypnobirthing births and seen how in control the women are and how also the partners are a lot calmer and able to help, and what a difference it really does make to the start of parenthood for them.” - Midwife

Your KGHypnobirthing Teacher & Doula
Hello! My name is Jessica, Founder of The Rose Birth Company.
I am a KGH Hypnobirthing teacher and Doula working to support women throughout their birth journeys in Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.
I live in Bury St. Edmunds with my partner and was a loving doula to some of my closest friends before becoming a professional doula. I became fascinated with the amazing impact Hypnobirthing had on birthing people and babies and decided I must teach it so that more women can benefit from a calm birth!
Previously, I worked for a sub-Saharan African girls' education charity, and prior to this I was a peer support volunteer for Mind mental health charity, a teaching volunteer for young school children and I have a BA in Sociology and a Masters degree in African Studies. For these, I specialised in women's mental health and feminism.
My passion is supporting, caring for and empowering women be their most brilliant selves and a big part of this is ensuring women are able to labour and birth in the way they feel is best for them.
I am a graduate of Developing Doulas, a Doula UK approved course.
